Annamayya Keertana -- Ekkadi Manusha Janmam

Ekkadi manusha janmam bettina palame munnadi  ….

nikkamu ninne nammiti ni cittambikanu ….

What kind of birth is this human birth, what is the use of such a birth. Oh Lord, I firmly beleive you and now its your wish!

maravanu aharambunu maravanu samsara sukamu ….

maravanu yimdriya bogamu madhava ni maya ….
maraceda sumnanambunu maraceda tattva rahasyamu …
maraceda guruvunu daivamu madhava ni maya  …

O Lord, I do not forget to eat good, I do not forget to have worldly family enjoyments, I do not forget the bodily desires, its all your maaya.I forget the good knowledge, I forget the secrets of sprituality, I forget my guru, yourself, its all your maaya.

viduvanu papamu punyamu viduvanu na durgunamulu ….

viduvanu mikkili yasalu vishnuda nimaya ….
vidiceda shatkarmambulu vidiceda vairagyambunu ….
vidiceda nacarambunu vishnuda nimaya …..

O Lord, I do not leave good and bad results, I do not leave my bad habits, I do not leave my greeds, its all your maaya. I leave the six karmas (vedic practices for cleaning the body before performing yoga), I leave disattachment, I leave the good practices, its all your maaya.

tagileda bahu lampatamula tagileda bahu bamdhamula ….

tagulanu mokshapu margamu talapuna yemtaina ….
agapadi sri vemkatesvara amtaryamivai ….
nagi nagi nanu niveliti naka yimaya …..

O Lord, I am constantly indulged in piggybacks, indulged in relations. I do not indulge into the path of realization even in my thoughts. You are the controller, why this maaya to me?.

In this keerthana, Annamayya touches upon several angles of leading family, worldly life and not being able to get onto the path of realization. He is gently blaming it on the Lord as his maaya.
